CBI quizzes Radia on 2G scam

New Delhi, Dec 21: The multi-agency probe into irregularities of 2G spectrum scam reached lobbyist Nirra Radia doorstep. On Tuesday, Dec 21, CBI probed Radia in her farmhouse on her alleged involvement in 2G spectrum scam. Radia was also questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) on allegations of money laundring.

The speculation increased on Radia after her recorded telephone conversation with ministers, corporate chiefs, journalist were released. The sources said that Radia was questioned for 3 hours by CBI. The CBI officials already raided Radia's residence and her public relation firm, Vaishnavi Communications, in New Delhi.

A day before Radia's probe CBI summoned then Telecom Minister A Raja for the interrogation. The agency has also questioned Former Chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Pradip Baijal on Monday, Dec 20.

The CBI and ED probe into 2G scam is being monitored by the Supreme Court. According to the report of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), 2G spectrum was the mega scam, that imposed 1.76 lakh crore revenue loss on the country.
