According the sources, Osmania general hospital's doctors on Dec 19 examined Naidu and reported that his sugar level fell and finally, on Dec 20 state police forcibly shifted him to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).
On the other side, protesting against Naidu's arrest, TDP supporters called for a state wide strike on Monday, Dec 20.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy earlier urged Naidu to withdraw his hunger strike as he stated, "I am, hence, appealing to you through the media to call off your indefinite hunger-strike. The state government is sincere about addressing the farmers' concerns and has already announced financial relief."
However, despite Reddy's appeal, Naidu refused to call off his protest and continued his hunger strike which came on fourth day on Dec 20.
