Sensex closes below 20K; Hero Honda up

Hero Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Cipla and IDFC, who among the top gainers, were at 17.77 percent, 2.67 percent, 2.54 percent and 2.43 percent up respectively.
Dr Reddys Labs, Kotak Mahindra, Axis Bank and Bharti Airtel, who among the top losers, were at 4.73 percent, 3.09 percent, 2.94 percent and 2.70 percent down respectively.

Sensex gains 250 poins by +ve cues
The Sensex regained 250 points in afternoon trade from day's low to hit 20,000 level. The Nifty was supported by positive cues and moving towards 6000 level.
At 2:45 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 19964.61 up 99.76 points and the NSE Nifty 5970.90 points up 22.15.
Top gainres were Hero Honda up 12.42 percentage, IDFC up 2.96 percentage, ACC up 2.02 percentage, GAIL up 1.80 percentage.
Top losers were Dr Reddys Labs up 3.96 percentage, Bharti Airtel up 2.29 percentage, Kotak Mahindra up 2.76 percentage, Axis Bank up 2.70 percentage.
Most active in trading were Hero Honda, SBI, Tata Steel, Reliance

Nifty inching towards 5950 level
Nifty is slowly recovering and inching towards 5950 level. Technology, metal companies' shares along with heavyweights Reliance Industries and Hero Honda helped this recovery.
At 12:35 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 19898.68, up 87 points and the NSE Nifty 5953.40 32 points at 5917.
Top gainres were Hero Honda up 12.42 percentage, IDFC up 2.96 percentage, ACC up 2.02 percentage, GAIL up 1.80 percentage.
Top losers were Dr Reddys Labs up 3.44 percentage, Bharti Airtel up 2.53 percentage, ONGC up 1.95 percentage, Axis Bank up 1.82 percentage.
Most active in trading were Hero Honda, SBI, Tata Steel, Reliance

Markets open amid volatility; Asian cues dip
Amid mild volatility, markets on Monday, Dec 20 drew back some of the gains of Dec 17. Weak Asian cues also created pressure on the markets.
At 9:31 am, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 19777, down 87 points and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 32 points at 5917.
Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, Sterlite, Nalco, TCS, SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and PNB, who among the frontliners, were down and nfosys, L&T, HDFC, IDFC were on buyers' radar.
Financial, realty, telecom, power, FMCG and metal companies' shares along with ONGC were also witnessing selling pressure.
