Cold wave hits Orissa, Himachal Pradesh
Bhubaneswar/Kullu, Dec19 (ANI): People in coastal and interior regions of Orissa have experienced cold wave with the mercury dropping sharply.
Residents of Bhubaneswar resorted to sipping hot tea to warm themselves. Bonfires were lit to beat the chill as temperature dropped to 5.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
"Since last three-four days the weather is very chilly. We are not able to go out and enjoy on our two-wheelers. So, we make bonfires and sit next to them and pass our time. The weather is too chilly and we wear too many woolens to protect ourselves," said Rudra Panda, a resident.
Meanwhile, People in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district wrapped themselves in many layers of sweaters and mufflers to beat the cold wave.
"The weather is quite chilly, especially during the morning and evening time. When we go for morning walk, we wear woolens and then come out of our houses. Temperature has dropped," said Ramnath, a resident. (ANI)
