'Saffron terror' becomes a headache for Rahul?

Mumbai, Dec 18: The remark on Saffron terrorism made by Congress general secretary ultimately became a headache for Rahul Gandhi when the entire saffron alliance of the country hit out at him.

Main opposition BJP and Shiv Sena on Saturday, Dec 18 claimed Rahul's remark as "immature and dangerous."

The whistleblower WikiLeaks on Dec 17 published some shocking documents which revealed Rahul's statement to US ambassador Timothy Roemer in 2009.

According the site, Rahul stated, "Growth of radicalized Hindu groups which create religious tensions and political confrontations with the Muslim community."

However, Rahul after the revelation, stated that he believed all types of terrorism including 'saffron terror' is a threat to India.

Despite Rahul's statement, the shocking revelation created uproar in the country as BJP spokesperson claimed, "He has shown immaturity. He should have shown some restraint while talking to a foreign diplomat."

On the other side, Hindu wing Shiv Sena said, "No one will deny that there may be a small group of hardliners but you (Rahul) cannot compare it with LeT."
