People with highest salaries in UK are also binge drinkers
London, Dec 17 (ANI): In UK, those with the highest salaries are also the biggest drinkers.
Figures from the NHS Information Centre reveal that hitting the bottle nearly every night is no longer seen as a working-class phenomenon, reports the Daily Express.
One-in-three rich men and almost one-in-five wealthy women drink on five nights of the week as compared to just one in five men and one in 10 women on lower incomes.
Nor are the better-off better behaved drinkers. The figures show they are just as likely to binge drink as their poorer counterparts.
For Tim Straughan, chief executive of the NHS Information Centre which released the data, it was a "stark reminder" of the levels of Britain's binge drinking. (ANI)
