Finland, Dec 16: The world's biggest cell phone maker Nokia has decided to handover the pink slip to 800 employees in its hometown Finland. The decision will also influence the company's timely delivery of the E7 smartphone.

The lay-offs will be effective from January and severance pay for 5-15 months of salary will be give out. The company had shunned close to 1800 people in October. Some of the employees who are intending to be laid-off this time around will be relocated elsewhere in the company.

This decision might impact many future plans of Nokia. The E7 smartphone is now likely to release only early next year.
