2G scam: CBI hunts hawala dealer, ex-TRAI chief

CBI officials were also raiding the houses and offices of corporate lobbyist Nira Radia. The raids were conducted in wake of leaked tapes which exposed her involvement in the 2G scam.
On Wednesday, Dec 15, CBI officials started raids in 34 different places in New Delhi and Chennai. The raided centres include aides of A Raja. CBI officials are in hope that they can seize some more data which reveal the actual financial irregularities related to the 2D scam.
Another important place under CBI scanner was residence of former Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) chairman Pradeep Baijal. He was the TRAI chief between 2004 and 2008. Later in 2009, he joined IN Niira Radia's business.
