Market closes below 5900 mark

Mumbai, Dec 15: Market closed below 5900 level. BSE Midcap and Smallcap dropped close to 1.5 percent each.

At 4.00 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19647.77 down 151.42 points and NSE Nifty was 5892.30 down 51.80 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, ICICI Bank, Reliance and Axis Bank.

The top gainers were BPCL up 3.88 percent, Bharti Airtel up 1.51 percent, TCS up 1.70 percent and Infosys up 1.37 percent.

The top losers were DLF down 5.17 percent, Hero Honda down 5.32 percent, Kotak Mahindra down 3.79 percent and Suzlon Energy down 3.98 percent.

Sensex drips 19700 mark
Market continues on flat note and Sensex dripped to 19700 mark. Bank, realty, health care and auto stocks were trading heavy.

At 2.55 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19598.74 down 200.45 points and NSE Nifty was 5874.30 down 69.80 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, ICICI Bank, Reliance and Axis Bank.

The top gainers were BPCL up 3.88 percent, Bharti Airtel up 1.51 percent, TCS up 1.70 percent and Infosys up 1.37 percent.

The top losers were DLF down 5.13 percent, Hero Honda down 5.92 percent, Kotak Mahindra down 4.18 percent and Suzlon Energy down 4.08 percent.

Nifty starts on flat note, below 5950 mark
Markets has started trading on a flat note followed by the selling in banks and realty stocks. The benchmark Nifty was hovering below 5950 mark.

Anyhow, buying interest has been seen in IT stocks. Oil companies, Reliance Power, Reliance Communications, Mahindra & Mahindra and TCS were making profit.

At 10.00 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19664.55 down 104.14 points and NSE Nifty was 5908.85 down 35.25 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, ICICI Bank, Reliance and Axis Bank.

The top gainers were BPCL up 5.08 percent, Reliance Power up 1.78 percent, Reliance comm up 1.45 percent and Infosys up 1.09 percent.

The top losers were DLF down 2.40 percent, ICICI Bank down 2.38 percent, PNB down 1.93 percent and SBI down 1.90 percent.
