Suspected Russian spy worked on BBC series about ties with Moscow

London, Dec.13 (ANI): A suspected Russian spy was employed as a translator and fixer for a major BBC series about Russia.

Ekaterina Zatuliveter, 24, travelled to Moscow to arrange interviews with senior Russian politicians for a four-part series, which will be broadcast next year on BBC 2, The Telegraph reports.

Zatuliveter, a parliamentary researcher for Mike Hancock, the senior Liberal Democrat MP, joined the production team for three weeks in April during the run up to the General Election.

Four months later MI5 officers interviewed her at Gatwick Airport, and now she is fighting a deportation order after the intelligence services decided she posed a threat to national security.

Hancock, however, denies that Zatuliveter is a Moscow sleeper agent.

The program will focus on Vladimir Putin's Russia, and feature many of Russia's most senior politicians. (ANI)
