Market closes on a strong note; 5700 level

Mumbai, Dec 13: Market closed on a strong note. Nifty recovered 200 points and held a strong support around 5700 level.

At 4.31 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,691.78 up 182.89 points and NSE Nifty was 5,907.65 down 50.30 points

The most active in trading were Tata Steel, Tata Motors, SBI and Reliance.

The top gainers were Reliance Infra up 3.96 percent, HDFC up 3.76 percent, Siemens up 3.12 percent and DLF up 3.26 percent.

The top losers were ACC down 2.27 percent, ITC down 1.85 percent, Mah and Mah down 1.58 percent and Ambuja Cements down 2.71 percent.

Nifty regains the loss; 5908 level
Nifty regained the losses and trading in green. BSE Midcap and Smallcap index were up more than 1% each. The Sensex was 4.48 points up and nifty was 10.60 points up.

At 2.54 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,654 up 146.05 points and NSE Nifty was 5,902.65 down 45.30 points

The most active in trading were Tata Steel, Tata Motors, SBI and Reliance.

The top gainers were Tata Motors up 2.04 percent, Cipla up 2.46 percent, Siemens up 2.09 percent and NTPC up 1.40 percent.

The top losers were ACC down 2.62 percent, ITC Labs down 1.76 percent, Mah and Mah down 1.49 percent and Ambuja Cements down 2.61 percent.

The Sensex was down close to 100 points with negative bias. Nifty was at 5821 level.

Market opens on flat note; Nifty hovers at 5850
Markets started trading on a flat note and the benchmark Nifty was hovering around 5850 mark. IT, telecom and realty stocks has been facing selling pressure. However, buying was seen in in auto, pharma and consumer durables stocks.

At 09.50 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,546.32 up 37.43 points and NSE Nifty was 5,867.25 up 9.90 points.

The most active in trading were Tata Steel, Tata Motors, SBI and Reliance.

The top gainers were Tata Motors up 3.07 percent, Axis Bank up 1.73 percent, Hindalco up 1.70 percent and Tata Steel up 1.68 percent.

The top losers were ACC down 2.20 percent, Bharati Airtel down 1.42 percent, Hero Honda down 1.36 percent and Bajaj Auto down 1.34 percent.
