Varanasi blast due to state intelligence failure: Chidambaram
Varanasi, Dec.8 (ANI): Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram said on Wednesday that Tuesday's Varanasi blast was the failure of state intelligence agencies, as the Centre had given specific advisory twice to the state about a possible Varanasi terror strike.
Interacting with mediapersons here, Chidambaram said 31 persons are admitted in different hospitals and he would discuss with the State Government about their best treatment.
Chidambaram hoped that state security forces would be capable to book the culprits of the blast and the Centre may ask the National Investigation Agency to investigate the incident if requested by the state administration.
He further said the Centre is ready to provide all types of help to the state about investigation of the blast and the treatment of the injured. (ANI)
