Chidambaram blames UP Intelligence failure for Varanasi blast (Re-issue)
Varanasi, Dec.8 (ANI): Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram criticised the State Intelligence agencies for not taking action to prevent Tuesday's Varanasi blast The Centre, he said, l had given specific advisory twice to the State about a possible Varanasi terror strike.
Interacting with mediapersons here, Chidambaram said 31 persons are admitted in different hospitals and he would discuss with the State Government about their medical treatment.
Chidambaram hoped that state security forces would be capable to book the culprits of the blast and the Centre may ask the National Investigation Agency to investigate the incident if requested by the state administration.
He further said the Centre is ready to provide help to the State in the investigation of the blast and the treatment of the injured. (ANI)
