Workshop held in Kashmir to create awareness about scientific communications
Anantnag, Dec 7 (ANI): A one-day scientific workshop was held here on Monday to create awareness among people living in far-flung areas of the Kashmir Valley about scientific communications in day-to-day life.
In the workshop, children from various schools of Anantnag staged different plays in order to make people aware of scientific methods.
"Many schools participated in a science popularisation programme. Many skits were performed to create awareness among people about the role of science in our day-to-day life," said Shabir Ahmad Shabir, organiser of the workshop.
"In the rural areas, people are not much aware about the importance of science in their daily life and about the role played by science in the development of the society, so our motive was to spread awareness about the role of science through folk media," said Adil Rashid, a participant.
The workshop was organised by a non-profit organisation and state Department of Science and Technology. (ANI)
