UK police arrests WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange

On Monday, Dec 6 Scotland Yard received the fresh arrest warrant against Assange in connection with the rape case in Sweden. Assange was charged for rape, sexual molestation and illegal use of force.
Following the arrest, WikiLeaks website has stopped release of diplomatic cables. But the newspapers, The Guardian and The New York Times, continued the publishing of cables which they received from WikiLeaks.
Sweden issued the first warrant against Assange in Nov 2010. Later Sweden's Stockholm Criminal Court issued the second arrest warrant, which was received by the Scotland Yard.
Also on request received from Sweden, Interpol has put Assange on wanted list and issued 'red notice'.
According to the WikiLeaks latest release, United States and NATO have proposed a missile shield system aimed at destroying potential rocket attacks from Iran or Syria.
