Amid rumors of surrender, Assange pops new cables

Washington, Dec 7: Amid the threats and arrest warrant, the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange said that they will release more confidential diplomatic cables.

European media reported that British authorities are preparing for the arrest of Julian Assange, who is under cover some where in UK, in connection with rape case against him in Sweden.

On Monday, Dec 6, Scotland Yard received the fresh arrest warrant against Assange issued by the Swedish Authorities. Rumors also spread that Assange may surrender before the Scotland Yard.

Assange's lawyer said on Monday that he will meet the British police to check the arrest warrant issued by Sweden.

Meanwhile, WikiLeaks has released a United States diplomatic cable which asked its officials to identify the key sites around the world, which are important to United Nation's security.

The cable revealed a list of sites, where a possible attack may affect US' national security. These key sites include undersea cables, cities, key communications, ports, mineral resources and firms of strategic importance in countries all over the world.
