Bengaluru sets for Midnight Marathon on Dec 11

Bangalore, Dec 5: The fourth Bengaluru Midnight Marathon, 'Run for Green', will be held on Saturday, Dec 11 at Whitefield.

The Bengaluru Midnight Marathon, which was organized by Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC), has several events like 42km Midnight Marathon, 21km Half Marathon 5km IT City Run, a community relay, women's corporate relay and rotary relay.

This is the fourth time RBITC conducting the Midnight Marathon. It is the world's first midnight marathon.The only other similar run in the world was in Norway. This event, though being a night event, was run in full brightness, given that Norway is the country of Midnight Sun.

Organisers have arranged large display video screens along the track, decorative lighting, live performances by rock bands and plenty of food to add more fun for the event.

The event is conducted to raise the fund for RBITC's social service projects relating to environment health community and vocational services in and around Whitefield.
