Mayawati gets breakthrough from SC

New Delhi, Dec 3: Supreme Court (SC) showed green signal for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati to restart the Noida park construction. The SC on Friday, Dec 3, told the construction of park will be monitored by a board of three members.

Previously, the SC dictated to stop the building of Noida park because it was violating the environmental averages and would greatly affect Okhia bird sanctuary which is very close to Noida park. The SC demanded to get clearance from Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF) to carry forward the project.

Besides, Noida authority told that, they will reduce the concert area of park where statues of Dalit leaders has been setup. And promised that they won't violate environment norms.
