Parl deadlock: UPA issues whip to members

New Delhi, Dec 1: After the failure of second all party meet to end the Parliament deadlock, United Progressive Alliance (UPA) has issued a whip to its MPs to attend Parliament.

UPA issued the whip to its members for the approval of important bills in the Parliament. The Women's reservation Bill, 20 bills related to economy and some other important bills were before the Parliament.

Earlier on Tuesday, Nov 30, the all party meeting called by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar was ended without finding any solution to the ongoing Parliament logjam.

During the meeting, Opposition parties demanded Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe to the 2G spectrum scam but government rejected their demand.

Following the JPC demand by opposition, both Houses of the Parliament adjourned on Tuesday. It was continuous 13th day, the Parliament adjourned without any proceedings.

It is expected that the deadlock will continue in coming days also.
