Punjab MPs demand restoration of direct flights between Amritsar, Canada

New Delhi, Nov.30 (ANI): Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal along with other MPs of Punjab met Union Aviation Minister Praful Patel on Tuesday and demanded restoration of direct flights links between Amritsar and Toronto.

Sukhbir Badal said restoration of Toronto-Amritsar flights have been demanded by all Punjabis.

"All the MPs today met Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel to request him to restore the flights between Toronto and Amritsar. Punjabis all around the world as well as other people demand to restore this flight as Amritsar is a religious place for people living across the world, and everybody wants to reach here direct," said Badal.

Beside Sukhbir Badal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Navjot Singh Sidhu was present at the meeting. (ANI)
