Oppn rejects Pranab's offer; Parl logjam continues

Pranab Mukherjee
New Delhi, Nov 28: The Parliament logjam is expected to continue in coming days as the second effort to break the deadlock also ended unsuccessfully.

The senior Congress leader and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday, Nov 28 met Opposition leader Sushma Swaraj and senior Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) leader LK Advani appealing to allow the house to function.

But, Opposition leaders remained firm with the demand of Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe to the 2G spectrum scam.

Pranab has offered to discuss the issue in the Parliament and even a Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) probe but the opposition has rejected his offers.

The demand of the JPC probe by Opposition parties has deadlocked the Parliament functioning for the last 12 days.
