Jagan not traitor, but Jaipal Reddy: Jagan's aides

Hyderabad, Nov 28: Andra Pradesh rebel leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy's aides attacked Union minister S Jaipal Reddy for his furious comments over YS Jagan, who started a open fight against Congress national leadership.

Jaipal Reddy, who said on Saturday, Nov 27 that YS Jagan's actions were undesirable, faced serious criticism from MPs close to Jagan. They described Jaipal Reddy as traitor who contested against Indira Gandhi from the Medak Lok Sabha seat.

"Such comments from a senior Congress leader are unwarranted. This is a conspiracy to see that Jagan is ousted from party," said Ambati Rambabu.

Ambati Rambabu also added that Jagan was not responsible for the news aired by his TV channel Sakshi, which slammed Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

"All of us know that Jaipal Reddy is an iron leg (cause of ill-luck). When he was in the opposition he wanted Rajiv Gandhi to be hanged in Parliament over the Bofors case. Jaipal Reddy"s comments are in Parliament records," said another Congress leader Prakasha Rao.

Some other Congress leaders accused Jaipal Reddy was the main person responsible for the conspiracies in Andra Pradesh Congress.
