Adarsh: Key papers missing; will affect CBI probe

Maharashtra police said on Saturday, Nov 27 that some key papers from Adarsh Housing Society files have gone missing from the Urban Development department.
"We have registered a first information report against unknown persons," Cherring Dorje, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone I said.
Police officials added that the missing papers include a note-sheet which had remarks and signatures of all the authorities who went through and signed the file.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused Conress government over the missing documents. BJP leaders said that Maharashtra government was trying to hide the Adarsh documents to protect its leaders.
“The Maharashtra government is trying to brush the issue under the carpet. Not just Ashok Chavan, but other big names are involved," said BJP
spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain.
Missing of the key documents will affect the ongoing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation to Adarsh Housing Society scam.
