Ahead of FIFA World Cup, Brazil scrub drug vendors

Brazil, Nov 26: Following the increase number of drug trafficking, Brazil government decided to knockdown the drug vendors in the country.

Brazil, decided to clean the city within the time before hosting FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016,

Rio de Janerio, which is a slum in Shantytown city, found to be one of the most powerful and most dangerous place, where trafficking gangs are based.

The offencive part of police to control the crime in Rio's drug driven slum, known as Favelas.

More than 1700, police officers have taken possitioned and encircled all suspected places and till know atleast 30 suspected drug traffickers have been belt down, since the operation began on Sunday Nov 21.

"The armed drug gang members have been seen fleeing the Vila Cruzeiro slum(a neighbour slum)", a police official informed reporters.

The escaped offenders, attacked police station in northern Rio on Nov 21. Then the violence broke out in the city . Atleast 180 people have been detained, weapons and drugs have been seized from them. Since the violation began atleast 60 vechicals including nearly a dozen buses have been set a blaze.
