Meeting between Zardari, Nawaz expected soon: Raja Riaz
Sahiwal, Nov 25 (ANI): The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) will continue its policy of reconciliation, and a meeting between PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari is expected soon, senior Punjab Minister Raja Riaz has said.
At a press conference held at the residence of PPP district senior vice-president Zaki Chaudhry on Wednesday, Riaz said that the federal government would soon take the PML-Q on board under its reconciliation policy, the Dawn reported.
"At the federal level we are in consultation with the PML-Q," he added.
Riaz said that the Punjab government was working on a draft of local government law, which was closer to that of 1979 than the one introduced by former president Pervez Musharraf in 2002.
"Few things will be borrowed from the local government system of 2002, introduced during the General Musharraf era," he said. (ANI)
