Bihar poll: Victory is on the card of JDU-BJP

Nitish Kumar
Patna, Nov 24: A significant victory seemed to be on the card of JDU-BJP alliance in Bihar as on Wednesday, Nov 24 the initial result of the state assembly polls 2010 showed that the alliance was leading in 177 seats.

Celebration has already taken place in the party as senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Nov 24 announced, "this is a victory of optimism over despair."

"This is a signal for the changing politics. The victory marks the new beginning in Indian politics," he added.

On the other side, Congress, however, claimed, "All credit (possible victory in the state) to him (Nitish Kumar) for his success. Law and order did improve under Nitish Kumar."

The expected victory of Nitish Kumar led JDU-BJP alliance in the state proved that good governance and development, which Nitish kept reiterating during his poll campaigning, have been finally recognized by Biharis.
