Dantewada encounter:Nine Maoists Killed

Dantewada, Nov 23: It is found that atleast 9 Maoists were killed in heavy combat that happened between Rebels and Anti-insurgent squad in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Tuesday, Nov 23.

This is suppose to be one of the biggest encounter in Dantewada district so far. The Anti-Insurgent operation turned to be a success. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the CRPF's 111 battalion accompanied by two Special Police Officers (SPOs) and four state policemen found the hideouts of Maoists encircled them and executed combine encounter operation in the dense forest of Jagargunda early in the morning.

Following the encounter, nine Maoist bodies, arms and explosives were recovered from the site. Sources told this encounter was the first that caused heavy casualties for Maoist side.

Chhattisgarh is one of the most highly Naxal threaten states in the country.
