2G: Cong allies DMK, Trinamool also want JPC

During the all party meeting, held by Finance Minister and senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee on Nov 22, TR Baalu from DMK and Sudeep Bandhopadhyay from Trinamool reportedly openly demanded for the JPC probe.
The all party meeting was arranged to break the 2-week long logjam in the winter session of the Parliament as the Oppostions stick with their adamant demand of JPC.
However, the government continued to reject the demand of JPC and emphasised that Public Accounts Committee (PAC) probe headed by former BJP president Murli Manohar Joshi is enough for the 2G spectrum scandal.
