PM encourages valued education on Sai Baba's b'day

Bangalore, Nov 22: Attending Sri Sathya Sai Baba's 85th Birth anniversary and 29th Convocation ceremony in his institution in Bangalore, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Nov 22 stated that value based education can empower the youth.

"Today we cannot succeed without providing value based education to our youth. In this endeavor you are breaking new ground others would do well to follow in the path that you have chartered to make both learning and character building universal in the realm of our education," stated the Prime Minister.

Sathya Sai Baba with the message "Love All Serve All - Help Ever Hurt Never" established his institute Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Bangalore.

His formula for humanity to lead a meaningful life is the five-fold path:

• Sathya (Truth),
• Dharma (Righteousness),
• Shanthi (Peace),
• Prema (Love),
• Ahimsa (Non-Violence)
