Nifty above 6K pts; Wipro, bank up

Mumbai, Nov 22: Following buying across all sectors, NSE Nifty gained power on Monday, Nov 22 in comperatively to the previous week's closing on Nov 19.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rallied 372.15 points or 1.90 percent to close at 19,957.59. Short covering could be another reason that led this upmove; the CNX Nifty surged 119.70 points or 2.03 percent to settle at 6,010.

IDFC, Wipro, Jaiprakash Asso, Kotak Mahindra, who among the top gainers, were at 4.55 percent, 4.35 percent, 4.31 percent, 4.28 percent up respectively.

NTPC, Dr Reddys Labs, Power Grid Corp, Larsen, who among the top losers, were at 0.49 percent, 0.44 percent, 0.44 percent, 0.21 percent down respectively.

Nifty touches 6000 level; IDFC, Axis surge

Buying in all sectors and positive European cues have helped the benchmark Nifty to reach 6000 level on Monday, Nov 22.

At 2.45 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,950.78 up 365.34 points and NSE Nifty was 6,004.50 up 114.20 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, Reliance, Axis bank and Tata Steel.

The top gainers were IDFC up 4.79 percent, Axis bank 4.15 percent, Wipro up 4.12 percent and Jaiprakash Asso up 4.02 percent.

The top losers were Power Grid down 0.54 percent, Dr Reddys Lab down 0.53 percent, Sterlite Ind down 0.48 percent and NTPC down 0.22 percent.

Nifty trades above 5950; Jaiprakash, Wipro up
Markets continued trading on positive note. The benchmark Nifty was trading above 5950 level and BSE Sensex added more than 200 points.

Oil & gas, technology, financial, telecom, FMCG, realty and capital goods companies' shares were witnessing buying pressure.

NTPC, Sterlite Industries, Dr Reddy's Labs, Hero Honda and M&M were witnessing selling pressure.

At 12.45 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,746.32 up 160.88 points and NSE Nifty was 5,942.95 up 52.65 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, Reliance, Tata Steel and Infosys.

The top gainers were Jaiprakash Asso up 3.36 percent, Wipro up 3.01 percent, IDFC up 2.76 percent and Bharati Airtel up 2.66 percent.

The top losers were Power Grid down 2.65 percent, Sterlite Ind down 1.99 percent, Dr Reddys Lab down 1.34 percent and Mah and Mah down 1.13 percent.

Market opens on +Ve note; Airtel, Wipro up
Markets opened on a strong positive note after witnessing a sell-off in last two weeks. During the opening trade Sensex gained more than 150 points.

Metal, cement, healthcare and select financial companies' shares were on buyers' radar.

IDFC, Cairn India, Jaiprakash Associates, SBI, HDFC, Ranbaxy Labs, Cipla, SAIL, Tata Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, M&M, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, ACC and Ambuja Cements were witnessing buying interest.

ONGC, ITC, TCS and Power Grid were witnessing selling pressure.

At 09.45 hrs, BSE Sensex was 19,743.53 up 158.09 points and NSE Nifty was 5,945.60 up 55.30 points.

The most active in trading were SBI, Reliance, Bharati Airtel and Infosys.

The top gainers were Bharati Airtel up 2.48 percent, Jaiprakash Asso up 2.03 percent, Wipro up 2.02 percent and Jindal Steel up 1.75 percent.

The top losers were Sun Pharma down 2.21 percent, Power Grid down 2.16 percent, Reliance Infra down 1.94 percent and Reliance cap down 1.87 percent.
