US wants JK solution; encourages India, Pakistan

Washington, Nov 19: Assistant Secretary of State, PJ Crowley on Friday, Nov 19 claimed that citing the importance of Kashmir issue, US continued to encourage both India and Pakistan for dialogue to get a peaceful solution of the disputed matter.

"On the issue of Kashmir, we continue to encourage dialogue between Pakistan and India on this vitally important question," stated Crowley.

Clarifying about US' stand on Kashmir, Crowley informed, "Fundamentally we haven't changed our view of its importance. But ultimately this has to be an issue that is resolved first and foremost between those two countries."

During a press conference, the official of US government also stated, "We are supporting both countries in trying to find a way to discuss this issue and diffuse tensions and ultimately resolve this issue."
