Osmania Univ row: Telengana to be shut on Nov 20

Police continued firing overnight as the students kept protesting infront of the Osmania University police station on the campus.
However, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) called for a Telangana shutdown on Saturday, Nov 20 to protest "police repression."
The violence started when students tried to take out a rally to protest the government turning down their demand on Nov 18 for postponing the written examination for recruitment of sub-inspectors of police in Telangana, which is scheduled to be held on Dec 18-19, till the issue of Hyderabad as a free zone is resolved.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah, however, made it clear that the exam for recruitment in four other districts of Telangana would be conducted as scheduled.
