Kill 2 birds with 1 stone: Govt to face SC on Raja
Government official believed that when it will make its stand clear before the court, the Oppositions also will receive answers to their queries on the whole A Raja and 2G scandal.
Asking about the Prime Minister's pending decision on A Raja, the Supreme Court on Nov 16 asked the government, "Can the sanctioning authority (Prime Minister) sit on the complaint."
The Oppositions grabbed the another opportunity to raise voice against the government and senior BJP leader like LK Advani also joined chorus and claimed, "The Supreme Court has never commented on the role of the Prime Minister's Office in the last 60 years."
"The Prime Minister should reply on 2G scam and clarify the stand of the government," demanded Advani on Nov 17.
Now, all eyes will be on the Supreme Court's hearing on Nov 18 when the government will clarify its role and alleged "inaction" in former Telecom Minister A Raja and 2G Spectrum issue.
