'Why was Rathore promoted with molestation charge'

Chandigarh, Nov 17: Despite former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore managed to get bail in Ruchika molestation case, the Punjab Haryanan High Court brought up the case again by raising voice against Rathor's promotion with criminal allegations.

During a hearing, the court asked the state government that how Rathore was promoted to the top post while a criminal complaint of molestation was pending against him.

The court conducted the hearing on the public interest litigation (PIL) by the World Human Rights Protection Council against Haryana, the CBI, the Centre and Ruchika's School Sacred Heart.

The PIL, as per the sources claimed, asked the school the reason to expel Ruchika and it also questioned why the government is taking so much time to prosecute the guilty.
