Fire at Shanghai building: Four suspects held

Shanghai, Nov 16: After the deadly fire at the building in Shanghai, Chinese police arrested at least four people regarding the incident, a media report stated on Tuesday, Nov 16.

"Four suspects have been detained by public security," media report claimed.

The media report also claimed that the fire, which gutted a 28-storey high-rise in China's busy commercial hub, was sparked by "unlicensed welding" carried out contrary to rules.

Though rescue operation was started soon after the incident but a residence of the building, however, claimed, "We feel that the fire rescue measures and methods weren't fast enough, and secondly they weren't vigorous enough."
