Delhi building collapse: Death toll rises to 65

New Delhi, Nov 16: The death toll in Delhi building collapse, which happened on Monday, Nov 15 night at Laxmi Nagar, reached to 65.

Police officials reported that the death toll may rise as still many people were trapped under the debris.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheikla Dikshit said that builder of the collapsed building was responsible for the tragic incident. Delhi government declared a compensation of Rs 2 lakhs to the kin of those dead.

Rescue operations were still going on. The conjusted geograrhic speciality of Laxmi Nagar posed a hinder for rescue operations.

The building collapsed at around 8.15 pm in Lalita Park area of Laxmi Nagar.
