Google to unveil Android Gingerbread today

San Francisco, Nov 15: California based Google Inc may launch updated version Android 2.3 Gingerbread on Monday, Nov 15 at Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.

Media reported that Google will unveil the much awaited Android operating system Gingerbread 2.3 for tablets and smartphones. It is expected that Gingerbread will concentrate largely on gaming and social media integration.

Expected new features on Gingerbread are:

* Support for WebM video playback
* Improved copy–paste functionalities
* Improved social networking features
* Android Market music store
* Media streaming from PC library
* Revamped UI
* Support for bigger screens
* New 3D Games support
* Support for video calls
* Support for WebP image files

With launch of Gingerbread, market will see emerge of smartphones and tablets powered with new OS.
