Cong snubs DMK, Sibal to be new Telecom Minister

After former Telecom Minister A Raja's resignation on Nov 14, speculations raised that which DMK leader would be honoured with the post.
Some expected DMK leaders were DMK supremo Karunanidhi's daughter MP Kanimozhi, Union Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran and many others.
However, completely ignoring its ally with DMK, Congress likely to announce Sibal's name for the evacuated Telecom Minister's post, government sources claimed.
The DMK lost the key telecom ministry portfolio in the wake of A Raja resigning from his post due to the 2G spectrum scandal.
Though, Raja claimed, "In order to avoid embarrassment to the Government and maintain peace and harmony in Parliament, my leader (Karunanidhi) has advised me to resign."
