I rejected Cong offer in 2004 LS polls: Mayawati

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Saturday, Nov 13 stated, "The Congress assured that the Taj Corridor and disproportionate assets cases against me would be withdrawn if it came to power at the Centre."
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) filed cases against Mayawati in the Taj Heritage Corridor scam.
However, she also claimed the witnessing the bitter experience during 1996 Assembly elections, the BSP leader she rejected Congress' "offer."
She claimed, "During 1996 Assembly election, BSP vote was transferred to the Congress candidates, the same was not reciprocated by Congress voters."
