India has to pass many phases for UNSC seat: Pak

Lahore, Nov 13: Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday, Nov 12, said that India has to pass so many phases to get United Nations Security Council (UNSC) permanent membership.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi also added that Pakistan has nothing to worry about India getting a UNSC seat. He stated that India will not get the permanent seat just based on a statement of the US.

Qureshi slammed US for not considering viewpoints of other countries of the sub-continent, as each has its own peculiar concerns and apprehensions.

Qureshi revealed that Pakistan would bid for UNSC membership in 2012-2013.
