New Delhi, Nov 11: Central government on Thursday, Nov 11 filed an affidavit in Supreme Court saying that there is no need of CBI or SIT investigation in 2G spectrum scam.

The affidavit also denied the that the 2G Spectrum allocation caused a loss of Rs 90,000 to 1,40,000 crore to the exchequer.

Earlier on the day, the two Houses of Parliament adjourned till Monday, Nov 15 following the opposition's ruckus demanding Union Telecom Minister A Raja's resignation.

MPs from BJP and AIADMK demanded a joint Parliamentary probe (JPC) into the multi-crore scam.

"The government should know what they did. They boycotted George Fernandes (over scams during Kargil war). It's upto the government as to how they want the Parliament to function. They want an enquiry of their own. The government doesn't want a JPC," BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said.
