B'lore: Camp to be held for Type 1 diabetic kids

Bangalore, Nov 11: To create awareness among the children and their parents, Manipal Hospital in Bangalore will conduct a special camp for children with Type 1 diabetes on the occasion of World Diabetes day on Sunday, Nov 14.

Followed by talks on Diabetes in details, the Hospital authority will conduct free blood tests for the diabetic children.

According the hospital sources, they will provide free insulin for the poor children, however, the authority would decide about it after the verification of income proofs of the needed parents.

Though Type 1 diabetes can appear at any age but most often it happens in children and young adults.
