Navy Mumbai's airport project gets green signal

Mumbai, Nov 10: After a long wait, finally the new revised project's proposal for Navy Mumbai's new airport got clearance as an environment panel on Nov 10 expressed satisfaction over the project by its project developer City Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO).

Attending a meeting of the panel, EAC head Naresh Daya stated, "No more clarifications are needed from CIDCO."

"We will give the committee's recommendations on the Navi Mumbai airport to the ministry (environment) within next two-three days," he added.

The committee will soon submit its suggestions to environment minister Jairam Ramesh who will take a final call in the matter.
