Sonia Gandhi may announce new Maha CM today

Quoting a senior Congress leader, media reports indicated that NCP's move to have Ajit Pawar as deputy chief minister can influence Congress" choice of chief minister.
NCP's giving signals that it might bring Ajit Pawar as the deputy chief minister. This is likely to be a factor in Congress' choice of its legislature party leader in the state, the leader said.
Congress Legislative Party (CLP) on Tuesday, Nov 9 authorised Sonia Gandhi to choose Maharashtra's new leader.
Sources also revealed that Maharashtra is likely to know who will be the state's Chief Minister on Nov 10.
Two leaders from the dominant Maratha community - union minister Prithviraj Chavan and Maharashtra minister Balasaheb Thorat - have emerged as the favorites so far.
The CM's post became vacant on Tuesday, Nov 9 after Ashok Chavan submitted his resignation over his alleged role in the tainted allotment of apartments in Adarsh housing society in south Mumbai.
