Techno War: Google blocks Facebook

California, Nov 9: The computer giant Google has blocked the service, which allow Facebook users to import contacts from Gmail.

"We have decided to change our approach slightly to reflect the fact that users often aren't aware that once they have imported their contacts into sites like Facebook they are effectively trapped," Google said in a statement.

According to the new change, Facebook will not be able to automate the import of a user's Google contacts into their own database. Earlier, Facebook had blocked users from importing their data.

The war between Google and world's favourite social hub, Facebook has reached to new hieghts. In US, Facebook defeated Google as the most visited website and also people spend more time on Facebook than Google.

Now, Google fears the lose of advertisements on its site as many of the advertisers started to focus on Facebook.
