Playboy prince squanders $60mn on litigation case worth only $7mn!

New York, Nov 9 (ANI): Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei has spent 60 million dollars to litigate a court case worth only seven million dollars.

Bolkiah whose X-rated statues of him and his fiancee raised eyebrows has spent 60 million dollars in a battle that was originally worth just seven million dollars.

"The Plaintiffs have spent more than $60 million to litigate a case where the amount in dispute is one-tenth of that," the New York Daily News quoted lawyer Mark Cymrot as writing in papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.

According to British barrister Thomas Derbyshire and his wife Faith Zaman, the prince is trying to make a "mockery" of justice in his attempt to block the unvarnished facts of his bizarre lifestyle.

The prince accused Zaman of having a servant snap pictures of the pieces in order to embarrass the Sultan of Brunei's high-flying kid brother, but she fired back the photos were taken only under orders from the dark-haired beauty who inspired the nude statues.

"The pictures were taken ...because Ms. Raines and Prince Jefri were contemplating selling the statues," Cymrot noted.

A gag order is in effect for the blockbuster real estate case, which continues this morning with jury selection. (ANI)
