Angry AI passengers unleash chaos at IGI airport

New Delhi, Nov 8: Air India flight delays and the hours-long wait at the baggage claim enraged the travellers into unleashing total chaos at the new Terminal three of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport at the national capital late on Sunday, Nov 7.

Angry passengers shouted slogans against the national carrier and even managed to take over the microphone at the public announcement system room near Gates 22 and 24.

After the delay of AI 841, 895 flights was announced, the passengers took to protests and demanded to know why there were inordinate delays in flights.

Passengers of AI 201 New York-Delhi, on the other hand, were disgruntled that they did not receive baggage even hours after their flight landed at the Airport.

The passengers claimed that they waited for three to four hours to receive their baggage and complained that the conveyor belt was not functioning.

Air India officials at the airport soon faced the heat. The officials, who were stormed with questions, tried to calm the passengers down.

As the officials failed to give satisfying answers to the passengers' questions, bedlam broke out at the new IGI terminal.
