Rumors perished; Chavan welcomes Obama with gift

Mumbai, Nov 7: Despite of Adarsh Housing controversy and rumors of boycott, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan received US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Saturday, Nov 6.

Chavan also gifted Obama a coffee table book published by the state government in the diamond jubilee year of creation of Maharashtra. Chavan requested Obama to keep it in the White House museum.

Chavan told Obama that the book would give him every information about the state including history, culture and major events.
