Extremists deserted Islamic values: Obama

Mumbai, Nov 7: On the second day of his maiden India visit on Nov 7, US President barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama held a meeting with selected students at St Xaviers College in Mumbai. During his speech, Obama said that India has assumed a greater role on the world stage.

Obama also added that India has the power to rise above poverty and terror. India and US share same values and interest. So India-US relation is very important.

During his interaction with the students, Obama responded to a query that extremists have deserted the values of Islam. He insisted to treat all religions with dignity and respect.
