Pak freed 562 Indian prisoners against India's release of 157 Pakistanis in 2009-10
Islamabad, Nov 6 (ANI): While Pakistan has released 562 Indian prisoners during 2009-2010, only 157 Pakistani prisoners have been released from Indian jails, a Pakistani minister said in the National Assembly (NA).
Minister for State on Foreign affairs Malik Imad Khan said during the question-hour that according to the agreement, the lists of the prisoners from both sides must be exchanged, The Nation reported.
According to the Council Access Agreement Act on May 21, 2008 in Islamabad, both the governments should provide assistance to the prisoners within three months of their arrest, Khan added. (ANI)
